The Wizard's Stone

There was a Wizard
That took a stone
Up high to a mountain
Called Rome.

He went to the summit
And set off a trumpet
That made the stone weep.
Tears he could never keep.

And he took the Tears,
Spread them along the grass
And the rolling hills,
Among the flowers, rocks, and glacial tills.

The Wizard let the Earth grow richer,
Let the Earth grow wiser.
Maybe one day,
He will tell us what he a has to say
And relieve us of a debt we could never repay.
